I bought these pants to wear to roller derby practice. The worst part about these are that the material is not like most workout apparel and isn't breathable at all, but is just like a pair of thinner cotton leggings. As others have noted, the waistband is just a strip of elastic sewn to the top of the pants. This doesn't really bother me, but the combination of the elastic and cotton-like material means that there is a slight "pouch" from my lower stomach, which might bother others. For reference, I am 5'8" and about 160 pounds, and I bought a size Large. As mentioned, I bought these for intense athletic activity, but I don't wear them as often as I had planned because they seem to just absorb and hold sweat. However, with one of the patterned options (like I had), there are no visible sweat marks. Overall, these leggings are comfortable and stay up during physical activity. If you don't mind the cotton-like material and no-frills waistband, these are solid leggings that are a great value for the price.These pants are so comfortable, soft and fit great. I bought them in grey and loved them so much I bought a black and navy pair. My only complaints are there is no drawstring in the waist and when you sweat it's visible on the pants (or at least the grey). When I wear the grey pants it looks like I peed my pants at the end of my workout because I swear so much.I got the blue ones, and they tend to stretch out after a day or two of wear, but they're plenty comfortable and provide enough support for when you go running in them. I believe one of the previous reviews said that they tore after one or two runs, but no such thing has happened, and I've gone running in these for the past four months. Definitely recommend for either just a lazy day in or a mild workout!These were purchased for my tween daughter and she says that she doesn't think they merit five stars--maybe 3 or 4--considering the waistband causes her discomfort. (She said that it is "really itchy" but it doesn't cause her any actual pain.) Furthermore, she said that you can't see through them which is very often a problem when we are buying leggings of any sort for a growing girl so I decided to bump the rating up to a 4.These leggings are amazing!! They fit me perfect in a small (I'm 5'4" and 125lb). The slate blue color I got is exactly as shown, and absolutely gorgeous. They shipped 6 days sooner than expected too! If you are wondering, they do have a gusset (the triangular piece of fabric on the crotch area for comfort). That's very important for me to have on workout pants so I'm really happy! They are slightly longer on me than the model but I like it better that way anyway. Also they are so soft and comfy I could sleep in them. Love!I'm not sure if I just ordered a completely different style than I normally buy, but these leggings were not what I expected. I've been buying Champion 3/4 length leggings for years and this was the first purchase where I almost couldn't get them over my hips. The waist band is just a piece of elastic sewn into the fabric rather than a strip of fabric made into a waistband. Not my favorite, but I could've lived with it. The dealbreaker on these for me (and why they're going back) is that they're see through. Not just when you're bending over either. BE WARNED! And before you ask, no, I didn't gain weight; yes, I bought the same size I always do; and no, the other Champion pants I have aren't see through. I've checked.Fit is great, price is right.. I just wish the description mentioned the color of the inside waistband. The grey had a neon green and my black leggings had a neon pink. Other than that great product. Would have gave 5 stars if it wasn't for the colored inside waistband.I really like these! They're very comfortable and perfect for anything that requires a lot of movement. My only complaint is that the waist could be a tiny bit more elastic/stretchy. Other than that, they're great and I'm very happy that I bought them.
